What are POP Points?

At PokerInCanada.com we value our players, which is why we've come up with a program to reward you for playing. Introducing POP Points! Now playing for real money earns you POP Points.

How do I earn POP Points?

Pop points are earned by contributing to real money raked hands and buying in to tournaments.

Raked Hands : For every 10 cents that you contribute to the rake you will earn 1 Pop Point.  Please note however, when you are calculating how many POP you have earned, that the maximum rake paid on ANY table is $3 no matter how big the pot. 

Example:
If 5 people are playing at a No-Limit $10 Hold'Em table and each person contributes to the pot evenly and the total pot is $50, then each player would have contributed $10 to the pot.  Rake is then calculated at 5% of this so each person would have put 50 cents into the rake.  You earn 1 POP per 10 cents in the rake therefore 50 cents into the rake would earn you 5 POP.

Tournament Play: For every $1 you pay in tournament hosting fees you will earn 10 POP Points. Tournament POP is calculated in $1 increments (rounded down). In order to earn POP from tournaments the fee must equal or exceed $1.

Example:
If you buy into a $10+$1 Sit-N-Go tournament, once play commences you will earn 10 POP points. Re-Buys can also earn you POP, so each re-buy into a $10+$1 tourney will earn you an additional 10 POP points.

How do I keep track of my POP Points?

You can find out your current POP Point totals from the right side of the lobby once logged in. Details on your POP Point earnings can be found by going to the Reports page from within the game and by clicking on "POP Transaction Report".

During your first 24 hours of play, your POP points are awarded but not displayed. After your first 24 hours, they are awarded and displayed immediately upon leaving the table.

What can POP Points be used towards?

POP Points can be used towards many prizes, a list of these prizes is available on the POP Prizes page  from within the game.

How do I redeem my POP Points?

You can exchange your POP for instant cash at any time. Just follow these steps:

1. Launch Software and Login
2. Click to go to casher (either the right account info area or from the menu bar – Cashier > Go to Cashier)
3. Click  POP Prizes tab.
4. Select the amount of POP you want to convert and your money will be instantly credited!

The Player Options Points (POP) program is designed to reward good customers. PokerInCanada.com reserves the right to withhold or deduct Player Options Points (POP) from any player found to be abusing the program in anyway. Player Options Points (POP) are not transferable between player accounts.

POP points accrue from 1st April to 31st March each POP year.  POP accrued in each POP year remains valid until 30th June of the next POP year, at which point it expires and is forfeited.  POP points accrued as part of a deposit bonus promotion will not count towards your final POP total and the value of these POP will be deducted before the remaining POP can be used in other promotions.
